Margaret Bailey has extensive clinical experience in psychotherapy in her private practice and in college mental health services. She worked for 25 years with the New York University Office of Counseling and Wellness Services where she engaged in short-term counseling, crisis-intervention and group treatment with undergraduate and graduate students. She held Adjunct Associate Professor status with the NYU School of Social Work for her many years of field supervision for MSW interns. Margaret is now retired from NYU and has expanded her private practice to full-time in NYC.

Margaret Bailey received her MSW degree from New York University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of New York. She was a medical social worker providing services in substance abuse treatment, home care and in-patient hospital work before starting her career at NYU.

Margaret is a graduate of the Washington Square Institute for Psychotherapy and Mental Health where she earned a certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. She holds a certificate in Group Psychotherapy from the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society (EGPS). Margaret is also a graduate of the advanced training program in Ericksonian hypnotherapy at the New York Milton H. Erickson Society for Psychotherapy and Hypnosis (NYSEPH).
